How Can Hypnosis Help Me?
One day a traveler comes upon an elderly man seated on a bench outside the entrance to a city. The traveler asks him, “What is this town like?”
The old man replied, “First, tell me about the last town you visited.”
“Oh, it was awful. The people were unfriendly, the food horrible, the weather bad.”
“Well, this town will probably be about the same.”
A little later, another traveler walks by and asks the same question. The old man again asks about the last town he has visited. This traveler answers, “Oh, it was lovely. The sunsets were beautiful, the people fascinating. There were so many interesting places to visit!”
The old man smiles. “The town ahead will most likely be about the same.”
I love this story because it so clearly expresses how our thoughts create our reality. The town didn’t change. The traveler did.
This is where Hypnosis comes in.
What Hypnosis Actually Is
2>
Hypnosis is not a stage act, and it is not losing control. It is a state of deep physical and mental relaxation — a natural, focused state you already slip into many times a day. Think of the last time you got lost in a good book, or drove home and realized you don’t quite remember the drive. That is a form of trance.
In a Hypnosis session, we gently bypass the busy, critical Conscious Mind and soften into the Subconscious, where real change lives. Psychologists estimate we have over 65,000 thoughts a day — and roughly 95% of them are running below the surface, shaped by old programming. Hypnosis gives you a way to update that programming with kinder words, healing images, and supportive sensations. With repetition, your brain creates new neural pathways that move you toward the life you actually want.
One important thing to remember: all Hypnosis is really Self-Hypnosis. You are always in control. I am simply your guide.
How Hypnosis Can Help You
2>
Over more than three decades of guiding clients, I have seen Hypnosis gently support people with:
- Stress, anxiety, and sleep — teaching the body and mind how to truly relax
- Releasing unwanted habits — smoking, overeating, and the patterns that keep you stuck
- Transforming limiting beliefs — softening the old stories of “not enough” or “not safe”
- Phobias and fears — flying, heights, public speaking, claustrophobia
- Healing grief and emotional pain — finding peace with what was, and making room for what is
- Confidence, focus, and creativity — whether you’re preparing for a performance or a new chapter of life
And perhaps most importantly, Hypnosis helps you become your own best friend — that deep, intimate relationship with your Self that so many of us are quietly longing for.
The Invitation

If you are reading this, something in you is already ready for a change. As an old Chinese proverb reminds us:
“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.”
You don’t have to carry the heaviness of the last town into the next. Hypnosis offers a gentle, practical way to meet yourself with new eyes — and to begin creating the life you truly choose.
If you feel called, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
With love,
Rainya
